In 1951, the vacated Presbyterian Church was turned over to the World War II Memorial Committee which was established in 1945. In 1952, the Town of Hoosick War Memorial Community Center was incorporated with its mission to provide youth activities in the building. Thus the Center had its beginnings, and for the past 56 years has continued to provide a safe place for the youth of our community.
The Center is funded through grants, donations from individuals and civic groups along with an appropriation from the Town. Volunteers play an integral part as they share their talents to a variety of programming from basketball to mentoring. Please consider volunteering; your involvement will make a difference.
There is an annual membership fee of $65 for families and $40 for individuals. However, complimentary memberships to families and individuals in need are available.
Hours of operation:
Monday-Thursday 3-6 pm and 7-9 pm
Friday and Saturday 3-6 pm and 7-10 pm
