Reynolds/Gilchrest Skating Rink is a 220 x 100’ partially enclosed rink with a cement floor and rink boards. The rink has a zamboni to condition the ice surface, but no refrigeration equipment, so as long as the weather cooperates the ice is great. Call the rink for schedule and condition updates.
Donations of gently used skates are greatly appreciated and may be dropped off at the rink. We are always in need of adult figure and hockey skates. Thank you!
Skating Lessons
Friends of Skating, under the direction of Sue Hyde, offer U.S. Figure Skating Programs along with hockey lessons on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Whether you are new to skating, or a seasoned veteran, the program will lead you to the right way to take to the ice. For more information, call Sue Hyde at (518) 686 -3371
Lesson Registration
January 17, 9am to 1pm at the rink, and you must be at leat 5 years of age to register.
Rink Improvements
In 2007, through grant funding from the Environmental Protection Fund, New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and Town funds, major renovations were done to the warm-up room, along with the addition of new handicap accessible bathrooms and additional storage space.
