News & Announcements   |

We concluded our 2017 season on Veterans Day, November 11 and welcomed local scouts to assist us in a flag retreat ceremony. As the sun went down, we snapped the picture below. Thank you to our staff, volunteers, Friends group members and donors who made this an exceptional season.

Thanks also to the Bennington Historical Society for their gracious invitation to speak at the Bennington Museum last month. David Pitlyk delivered a presentation on the cultural resource survey of 2015.

We still have program offerings for the winter that we hope you will take advantage of. Additionally, this winter tours will continue by appointment. Call or e-mail to schedule a visit. (518-860-9094 // david.pitlyk@parks.ny.gov) Please note that your visit may be subject to cancellation due to road conditions on-site but that we will work to get you in after the next thaw!

If you have not already done so, we suggest you take a look at the Friends of Bennington Battlefield Newsletter.

Finally, we would like to put the call out for any interested volunteers. If you would like to serve as a docent in 2018 or have an interest in helping out in any other capacity, please do not hesitate to contact us at the e-mail address above.
